The Epic 2014-
2015 NBA MVP Race/ Playoff Predictions
This year’s
MVP race has been one for the ages, with 2 impressive contenders that have
incredible resumes, and each have a great chance to take the hardware home.
Here, I will talk about each person’s stats on the season, and whom I think
will win MVP.
|
James Harden |
James Harden: This
year, James Harden has averaged 27.4 points, 4.4 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. He
has been lights out for the 81 games he has played for the Houston Rockets. He
has been very good on offense, but his defense is still not very good. His
player efficiency is 26.7, which is good for 4th on the list. In the
most important category, Real Plus Minus, he is 2nd with a plus
minus of 7.4.
|
Stephen Curry |
Stephen Curry: Stephen
Curry has been an imposing matchup this year, making other teams go crazy on
who to guard him with and how to guard him. This year, he increased his
tendency to drive, with great success rates, so now he is dangerous shooting the ball from anywhere on the court. This year, he averaged 23.8 points, 7.7 assists,
and 4.3 rebounds. He set a new record with 286 made 3 point field goals and
leads the league with a 9.6 plus-minus.
I think that Stephen Curry will win MVP because he is the
best player on the best team in the league, he led them to a franchise record
67 wins, and will look to do more in the postseason.
