SUPER BOWL BOLD PREDICTIONS

Finally, the Super Bowl is only 2 weeks away, with the Denver Broncos facing the Carolina Panthers. Both teams have a dynamic offense and defense, which means both teams will score a lot of points. The Carolina Panthers, led by their young quarterback Cam Newton, are soaring through the post season beating the Cardinals in the NFC Championship. The Panthers scored 49 points in that game, and if they can do that again against a tough Denver defense, they will win. Also, if his offensive linemen block correctly, then it will be easier for Cam to win. But, if not, the Denver Broncos defense may stop the Panthers offense completely, making them score no touchdowns. Now onto the other side, the Denver Broncos. Peyton Manning is getting close to retirement, but still has not given up on winning one more Super Bowl. If he plays one of his best games ever, he will have a chance to win. But, he needs to try not to get hit too much because he already is hurt. Against the Seahawks, two years ago, which is a team just like the Panthers, he got hit so much that he lost the game. If he can throw the ball well, and not get sacked by a tremendous Carolina defense, he can win the game. Two great offenses against two great defenses and only one team can win. Here is my pick for who wins Super Bowl 50.

PANTHERS WIN AGAINST THE BRONCOS 27-21!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AFC and NFC Championships Preview

Do you smell that. Thats the smell of sweet victory. 4 teams move on into the conference championships eliminating 4 other teams. Every game was close and just as entertaining. The weekend started Saturday afternoon with the Patriots and the Chiefs. The Patriots started dominating by scoring a touchdown in the first 3 quarters. 2 thrown the Gronk and one ran in by Tom Brady. Sadly for me, the Chiefs fumbled in a crucial point of the game losing 20-27. The next game was the best game this whole playoffs. The Packers were down by a touchdown and had the ball with 30 seconds left. At their own 3 yard line Aaron Rodgers bombed a throw down deep to Jeff Janis whole caught it with a 60 yard pickup. The clock was still running and the final play  was a hail mary right into the center of the end zone. From out of nowhere Jeff Janis catches yet again tying the game and sending it into overtime. The Packers had a chance to win against the very strong Cardinals. The Cardinals had a different idea and on their first play after getting the kickoff, Larry Fitzgerald got a 64 yard pickup making them almost 5 yards away from a victory. And, just like Jeff Janis, Larry Fitzgerald got shoveled the ball and ran it in for the game winning touchdown. The final score was 26-20 and a Cardinals win. That was the end of a very amusing Saturday but the playoffs were just getting good. On Sunday the games started in the morning with Carolina verses Seattle. The game started instantly with points on the board. The Panthers scored 31 points making the score 31-0. But the Seahawks were not done yet, the came back and scored 24 unanswered points getting very close to a win. Unfortunately, the Panthers ruined that by picking up the onside kick that could have gave the Seahawks a chance to make it to their third Super Bowl in a row. 31-24 was the final score. Lastly, was the Steelers and the Broncos. This was almost like the Patriots game with the Steelers fumbling and them losing the game 16-23. That was the end of the divisional round and giving each team that won one week to get ready for the conference championships. In the AFC its the Patriots verses the Broncos. Or how I see it, Brady verses Manning. This game is just a quarterback duel and whichever team's quarterback does better will win the game. The other game is the Cardinals and Panthers. In this game it will be which offensive team has a better game with both teams scoring a lot of points this year in every game they played. Both games will be very tight but here are my picks for the next week and the Super Bowl winner.

     PATRIOTS WIN!!!

Playoff Picks, After the Wildcard Weekend

The Wildcard weekend just finished and I was very close to picking the winners of all four games. Sadly, I only picked 3 out of the four winners. The first game the Texans against my Chiefs. GO CHIEFS GO!!!!!! Texans quarterback Brian Hoyer was playing a really bad game forcing 5 turnovers and leading the Chiefs to win 30-0. I predicted this game right with only a little bit of bias towards the Chiefs. The second was a really great and close one between the Steelers and Bengals. The Bengals lost their starting quarterback Andy Dalton to injury a few weeks ago. So, instead of him the Bengals quarterback was AJ Mccarron who played college football at Alabama. With almost a minute left in the game the Bengals were up by one point. But unfortunately, with their running back fumbling the ball and a costly penalty letting the Steelers score a field goal ending the game with a final score of 18-16. This was one of the best games of the wildcard this year and another pick that I got right. Next up was the Sunday games which started with the Seahawks and Vikings. The Vikings needed a 27 yard field goal to win at the end of the game but missed badly losing the game 9-10. This was another game that I got right making me 3 for 3. Lastly, was the Packers and the Redskins Sunday night. I picked the Redskins to win after how good they were playing with Kirk Cousins as their quarterback. This left my picks with a total of 3 out of 4. Now is the divisional round then the Championships and Super Bowl. Here are my picks for those games:

Conference Championships:  Patriots vs Bengals, Panthers vs Cardinals

NFL Playoff Picture

The end of the NFL season is near, with 2 more weeks of play left. The first round of the playoffs is the wildcard. When 4 teams from AFC play against each other, and same for the NFC. The AFC wildcard right now consists of these four teams; Denver Broncos, Pittsburgh Steelers, Houston Texans, and Kansas City Chiefs. The top teams in the hunt right now for those wildcard spots are Jets, Colts, and Jaguars. Out of all of these teams the Chiefs, Steelers, and Jets all have the same record of 9-5 making this race really tight. My pick for the AFC wildcard right now is that the Jaguars will take the Texans spot to play against the Chiefs, otherwise leaving the race the sam. Meanwhile, in the NFC the four teams in the wildcard spots for now are the; Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and the Washington Redskins. The top teams in the hunt are the Falcons, Eagles, and Giants. Unlike the AFC, I don't think that any of the spots are going to change for the NFC wildcard. The teams who have already clinched there spots in the divisional round are the Patriots and Bengals in the AFC and the Panthers and Cardinals in the NFC. In the divisional round the Patriots will play the lower seeded team that wins in the wildcard in the AFC. The Bengals will play the higher seeded team that wins the wildcard in the AFC. The same thing happens in the NFC, the lower seeded wildcard team will play the undefeated Panthers, and the higher seeded wildcard team will play the Cardinals. My pick for the wildcard is the Steelers beating the Broncos, and the Chiefs(no bias even though they rock) beating the Jaguars. After that, the Patriots will face the Steelers, and the Bengals will play the Chiefs. As much as I love the Chiefs, sadly I don't think that they will be able to beat the Bengals. And, I think that the Patriots will beat the Steelers if they don't cheat. In the NFC the Panthers will face the Seahawks after they supposedly beat the Redskins. And, the Packers will face the Cardinals as the other 2 teams in the divisional round. After those two games, my pick is that the Panthers will face the Cardinals beating them and heading towards the Super Bowl. On the other hand, the Patriots will beat the Bengals and head to the Super Bowl too. That leaves Super Bowl 50 with the Patriots verses the Panthers. My pick for the Super Bowl will be coming right after the playoffs.

Predictions for the College Football Playoff

Predictions for the College Football Playoff
1. Oklahoma
2. Michigan State
3. Stanford
4. Ohio State

Baker Mayfield
1. For Oklahoma to get the first seed, they need the two teams in front of them to lose, which means North Carolina winning against Clemson and Florida winning against Alabama. This can happen as Florida is an up and down team and I think they will play a very good game against Alabama. Clemson will lose because they almost lost to a 3-8 South Carolina and they look very vulnerable.

Connor Cook
2. Michigan State needs to win the Big Ten Championship and they will make it. Iowa may be undefeated, but their best win was against Northwestern while Michigan State beat marquee teams like Oregon, Michigan, and Ohio State. The way they rolled Penn State yesterday, Iowa doesn’t stand a chance.

Kevin Hogan

3. Stanford needs a lot of help. It needs Clemson, Alabama, and Iowa to lose. It also needs to beat USC in a very convincing fashion so it can leapfrog Ohio State to the third seed. I think they can do
it, and they played well and mistake-free against a very good Notre Dame team last night.

J.T Barrett

4. Ohio State has to hope that the committee sees them as a better team than North Carolina. North Carolina has a loss to South Carolina and wins against two FCS teams. Ohio State crushed Michigan. North Carolina can improve their resume by beating Clemson, but even if they do that, they can’t get past Ohio State.
